Alien Wars attraction is open at Wirral’s Spaceport

THE Alien Wars reality experience opened last week at Wirral’s Spaceport.

Thousands of people are expected to descend on the attraction, which runs until March next year.

But the experience is not for the faint-hearted, and although it can be a great family day out, is not suitable for children under eight.

Preparations for the new attraction began earlier last week when a mystery delivery was made to Spaceport by armed guards.

The story goes that an extra-terrestrial was recently discovered in the USA, and after it was examined at a military base at “Groom Lake” (AKA Area 51), in Nevada, Spaceport, at Seacombe Ferry, was selected to take the creature and put it on public view.

Visitors are taken on an interactive trip around the creature’s new “home”.

The gang of heroic marines who lead the way were selected at auditions held last month.

They guide the public through black passageways which are filled with special effects.

The show, which promises to deliver a unique and terrifying experience, was created in 1992 and inspired by the real Alien films – it has already been staged in London and Glasgow.
