TWO Wirral art groups are among several in the north west to have shared more than £100,000 in Lottery awards.
Wirral-based Headland Publications received £12,850 to create a series of poetry and fiction books, from both established writers and rising stars.
And West Kirby theatre company Off the Ground netted £4,800 for a production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, which will tour outdoor venues across the North-West.
The biggest winner was Liverpool-based Wired Aerial Theatre, which was awarded close to £50,000 by the Arts Council England.
Aileen McEvoy, executive director of the Arts Council England North West, said: “These awards create a range of artistic activities for communities in the North West and support the Arts Council’s work in getting great art to everyone.”
