WIRRAL’s kite festival is returning this weekend with top fliers from across the globe again expected to congregate in New Brighton.
The seventh annual Wirral International Kite Festival, held at the Dips, will see a variety of spectacular kites on display, including artistic kites, giant kites, inflatable, sports and power kites.
Among the many flyers returning to the festival will be Robert Brassington, who is travelling to Wirral from Tasmania to show off his multi-cell kites and wind turbines.
Visiting for the first time are Juergen and Gaby Ebbington from Germany, famous for their flying fish and frog kites and colourful wind gardens.
Other renowned international kite flyers attending include Bas Vreeswijk, Iqbal Husain, Ludovico Bertozzi, and Anna and Diety Gispen.
The Wirral International Kite Festival takes place on June 6 and 7 from 11am to 4pm each day. Admission is free.
