SOAP stars raised £2,400 for the NSPCC’s Safe Place Appeal during an evening of fashion and glamour at Revolver in Birkenhead.
Hollyoaks’ Ricky Whittle (Calvin), Emma Rigby (Hannah) and Carley Stenson (Steph) were among those strutting their stuff on the catwalk at the end of last month, modelling spring/summer fashions.
Nick Pickard – who plays Tony Hutchinson in the soap – acted as compere for the evening.
They were also joined by former Brookside stars, Suzanne Collins and Ann-Marie Davis.
The event was organised by Louisa Kelly, owner of Cello boutique at the Grange and Pyramid Shopping Centre in Birkenhead.
Louisa – who also works as a stylist and buyer for Hollyoaks – said: “The evening was a great success – the models had an unforgettable night showcasing some of the rare, unique and stunning designs available from our boutique.
“The audience was our best crowd yet and a brilliant night was experienced by all – I’m just delighted we could raise money for the NSPCC on Merseyside.”
Helen Gazzola, NSPCC fundraising manager for Merseyside, said: “I’m delighted the event was so well supported and raised vital funds for some of Merseyside’s most vulnerable children and young people through the NSPCC Safe Place Appeal.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to Louisa and her team for organising such a well supported and successful event.”
