MUSICIAN Brian Lupton received a surprise during his Birkenhead buskathon, when a lady handed him £100 cash.
The guitarist played non-stop outside the Pyramids for four hours on Saturday May 16, to help raise funds for Wirral charity Claire House and Christian Aid.
The grandfather-of four said: “ One lady came up and gave us a £20 note with a clip on it.
“When we got back, we realised it was actually £100.
“I was singing at the time, but I’d love to know the reason why and the story behind that.
“I was quite shocked.”
Brian managed to raise a total of £330, despite the less helpful intermittent rain.
