Vale Park and Festival returns for 2009

BANDS will be performing on the bandstand in Vale Park, New Brighton, every weekend until September.

This Saturday the park will host Folk in the Park, which features singers from Manor Folk Club.

Other highlights over the next few months include appearances by the Port Sunlight Lyceum Brass Band and Wirral Community Wind Band.

The band festival is organised each year by the Friends of Vale Park and is sponsored by the Community Foundation for Merseyside’s Grassroots Fund and Wallasey Lions Club.

Bands appearing over the next month or so are:

Sunday, May 31: Praise in the Park (2.30-4.30pm)

Friday, June 5 and June 12: My Generation Rock (5.30- 9pm)

Sunday, June 7: Wirral Community Wind (2.30-4.30pm)

Saturday, June 13: The Talismen (12.30-3pm)

Sunday, June 14: Greenall’s Band (2.30-4.30pm)

Friday, June 19: Midsummer Festival (5.30-9pm)
