TOMBSTONE Country Music Club is gearing up for its fourth annual weekend festival, with tickets being snapped up, artists confirmed and a charity set to benefit.
The festival has grown at a phenomenal rate since it was established in 2006, and welcomed 50 caravans full of music fans for its inaugural event.
That number increased to 160 caravans last year, and chairman Terry Abel says interest is such that the targets set in 2008 may be stripped.
Terry said: “We’ve got a dedicated team, a dedicated committee and we know, after touring round the festivals, what people require.
“Clean, tidy facilities, a dance floor, a large marquee, a bar, facilities for campers and caravans and a good selection of stalls.
“We get people from Scotland down to Devon and hopefully we’ll get the weather too!”
The event takes place between Friday, July 31 and Sunday, August 2, at Wirral Rugby and Cricket Club on Thornton Common Road, near Clatterbridge.
Tickets can be purchased for the entire weekend, priced £25 including camping costs, or on individual nights, where prices start at £6.
Acts already booked include Smokie Mountain Boys, Ronnie J Morson, Texas Tornados, Marisa D’Amato, Jim Worton, Little Rock and The Thrillbillies.
