DETECTIVES have charged two men with the murder of a man in Merseyside five years ago.
Cheung Shing Cheung died after suffering head injuries in his flat in Pine Court, Birkenhead.
He was found in the early hours of May 15, 2004.
Yesterday, Merseyside police confirmed two men – Ba Fei Jhu, 54, and Qing Yu Kong, 50, both of no fixed address – are charged with the murder of Mr Cheung.
Qing Yu Kong was arrested on April 17 in Scunthorpe and appeared at Liverpool crown court on Monday, May 11.
News of his arrest was kept under wraps while police looked for the second suspect.
On Thursday, officers arrested Ba Fei Jhu in Paisley, Scotland.
He appeared at Liverpool magistrates court yesterday and was remanded in custody.
Mr Cheung died after suffering multiple blows to the head with a blunt instrument, but police have always refused to say what weapon was used.
