NEW Ferry Butterfly Park has opened to the public for its summer season.
Among the attractions this year are an impressive display of cowslips, which provide nectar sources early in the growing season for bumblebees, hive bees and butterflies. Twenty–six species of butterfly have been recorded, with 16 breeding on site.
The Butterfly Park was developed on the site of a former goods yard, coal yard and water softening plant.
Access is from Howell Road, off Bebington Road, adjacent to Bebington Station car park. The park is open on Sundays during the summer.
Volunteer wardens are on hand to show visitors the creatures living in the park and youngsters can enjoy a nature trail and quizzes.
Entrance and parking are free.
