Serious assault at Birkenhead gym prompts appeal

MERSEYSIDE Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on a 27-year-old man in Titans Gym, Church Road.

The man was attacked at around 5pm yesterday (Wednesday) while he trained at the Birkenhead gym.

Police estimate at least 12 people were in the building at the time, the majority of whom were not involved, and officers are urging those witnesses to come forward.

The victim, a 27-year-old male, was left with serious head injuries.
