A MAN has appeared in court accused of a string of sexual offences including indecently exposing himself in front of children.
Phillip Donoghue, of Norwood Road, in Wallasey, said nothing during the hearing apart from confirming his name, age and address.
The 24-year-old is charged with a series of incidents alleged to have taken place around Weatherhead High school, in Wallasey, in May and June last year.
A total of 22 offences include seven of performing sex acts in front of children and a further nine of indecent exposure.
These charges relate to incidents between May 13 and June 5 last year at various locations around the Wallasey area, including Breck Road, Claremount Road, Broadway, Brighton Street and Leasowe Road.
Donoghue is accused of targeting his activities towards schoolgirls as young as 13.
He also faces a further six charges of making indecent images of children found on a computer and pen drive.
The court was told by prosecutor Alan Currums that Donoghue was alleged, between May 1 and June 7, 2013, to be in possession of 81 indecent images, mostly of the lowest category of seriousness.
These include 43 category one images and 30 category two pictures, as well as a category one video.
Magistrates decided the case should be transferred to Liverpool Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on February 28.
Chair of the magistrates bench Susan Haggstrom allowed Donoghue bail, but put in place numerous conditions.
These include him having no unsupervised access to children under 16, an order that he complies with social services and that he does not possess a mobile phone equipped with a camera.
Donoghue was also ordered to live at the address in Norwood Road which he had supplied to the court, and told he must not enter Breck Road where seven of the offences are alleged to have taken place.
