THE MANAGERESS of a Wirral pub was injured in a struggle with robbers who broke in and fled with thousands of pounds of cash stolen from a safe.
Three men forced their way into The Bromborough on Bromborough Village Road just after 9am yesterday.
As they searched the pub they confronted two woman, one of which was a cleaner.
The other woman, the manageress who also lives in the building, got into a struggle with one of the robbers, and was left with injuries to her back and arm.
Neither woman was seriously injured but both were left shaken following their ordeal.
The gang then fled with between £2-4,000 in cash, running off along Spital Road in the direction of Croft Road.
Two of the men are described as speaking with foreign accents.
The first was white, 5ft 10 ins tall and medium build with short fair hair and a chubby face.
He was wearing a beige baseball cap and a beige jacket.
