Police say death is 'unexplained' after body found in woodland

FOLLOWING a call from a member of the public, Merseyside Police can confirm that the body of a man was discovered in woodland near to Arrowe Park Hospital at around 11am this morning (Wednesday, January 23).
 
Crime scene investigators are at the scene and the investigation is in its early stages.
 
At this stage there has been no formal identification and detectives are treating the death as unexplained.
