A MAN who was assaulted outside a Merseyside bar remains critically ill in hospital.
The 34-year-old suffered serious head injuries following an incident outside Mojos bar on Dee Lane, West Kirby, Wirral, on December 23.
Merseyside Police said he was still in a critical condition.
The bars licence was later suspended by Wirral Councils licensing committee pending a further review this month.
But Mojos owner Julian Lea said the decision meant the bar will not open again.
Paul Feely, 36, of Low Wood Grove in Wirral, has been charged with unlawful wounding and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court in April.
