Body washed up at West Kirby was missing North Wales man

THE body of a man washed up on a beach in West Kirby is that of missing North Wales man Michael Murphy, his heartbroken mum has confirmed.

Michael, from Mold, was 32 when he disappeared on January 4  after  leaving work at Convatec on Deeside Industrial  Estate.

And today his mum Ann, 57, said tests have shown the body found at West Kirby, Wirral, last week was her son’s.

Ann said: “We found out about 5.30pm yesterday when the police said DNA tests on the body matched Michael’s.

“We are all devastated and so sad.”
