Awareness event to help raise funds for threatened Birkenhead Kennels

A FUNDRAISING event for Birkenhead Council Kennels will take place this Sunday.

Trendy Pooches Doggy Daycare are holding the event to raise awareness of the threat to the council-run kennels on Corporation Road.

It will include a demonstration of Tellington T Touch, which is a massage technique for nervous and anxious dogs.

A fun dog show will take place at 11am and Gray Mercer will be doing reiki and champi.

Corporation Road Kennels is facing closure as the council draws up plans to cut their budget in the wake of funding cuts.

The site houses 36 kennel spaces for stray dogs.

The event takes place between 10am and 4pm at Trendy Pooches centre, 5 Carr Lane Business Park, Hoylake.
