Joshua drew this picture of a Monarch airplane
THE dreams of a boy from Wirral will come true next month.
Five year-old Joshua Anderson, who lives in Irby, wrote a letter to Kevin George, the Managing Director of Monarch Airlines, expressing his love for planes and requesting a visit to see some in action.
The airline has decided to give Joshua a Christmas treat by inviting him to spend some time at Manchester Airport on Wednesday, December 5.
He will be having a tour, attending a pre-flight briefing with a flight crew, boarding an aircraft before a flight and seeing the flight deck. He will also have a tour of the hangar and see an aircraft in maintenance.
Joshua has received permission from his school for the visit, and his headteacher has commented on what a great educational opportunity this is for Joshua, and how much she is looking forward to him sharing the highlights of his day with the rest of the school.
A spokesperson from Monarch said: "Joshua is so excited about his visit that he is counting down the days and last week sent us a picture of his 'how many sleeps til Monarch'!
"At Monarch, we are delighted to be able to make Joshua's dream come true by arranging this visit for him"
