A WIRRAL call centre operator is to create 300 new jobs after winning a contract with a major financial services provider.
The Contact Company (TCC) has struck a deal with Advanced Payment Solutions (APS) to set up a customer services operation in Birkenhead.
TCC, which already employs more than 600 people, will be recruiting the new staff over the next three years.
APS runs the Cashplus portfolio of electronic banking and payment products and is targeting local authorities in a bid to grow its business.
The firm has grown from a simple prepaid card company to an alternative to high street banking.
It is relocating its customer services centre from Romania.
Chief executive Richard Wagner, said: “We’re bringing our call centre to Merseyside to help the UK economy.
“Our customer satisfaction levels are very high at 94%. However, as we grow we want to ensure that all our customers, from consumers and businesses to government authorities, continue to receive the same high standard of support and attention.”
