INSIDER is feeling the pinch like everyone else at the moment, so huge credit to the Wirral Witches and their supporters for raising £40,000-plus for Claire House Children’s Hospice at their sixth annual ball.
The event at Thornton Hall Hotel, organised by Mandy Molby and Jane Kirkham, was hosted by radio presenter and comedian Willy Miller.
Comedian Josh Daniels and singer Peter Jones entertained guests including Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle who seemed to be getting on famously with Derek Hatton, showing him her 2012 bronze medal. Ex-LFC stars Ian Rush and Michael Thomas and actress Gillian Kearney also pitched in for the hospice which helps children with life-shortening illnesses and their families.
The ball was sponsored by Hallmark Jewellers in Heswall and guests received a glam goody bag courtesy of Estee Lauder.
