Man arrested in Titan raids in Merseyside


A MAN was arrested in a major operation being carried out by regional crime officers across Merseyside targeting drugs, firearms and money laundering.

Officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (Titan) arrested and charged Anthony Rimmer, 40, of Trevelyan Street, Walton.

He was charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to commit blackmail.

He was bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 25.

The arrest comes after an ongoing operation in which a total of 17 men and four women have been charged.

This includes six who were charged following raids on October 11.

Terence Sergeant, 33, of no fixed abode, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Alan Bentley, 43, of Eton Court, Northwich, was charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Mark Higgins, 35, of Helston Green, Huyton, was charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Daniel Edgar, 28, of Medlock Road, Woodhouses, Greater Manchester, was charged with conspiracy to supply class B drugs.

Julian Solomon, 32, of Liverpool Road, Southport, was charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of a prohibited weapon.
