Hannah Windsor, 17, who was found dead in Bidston, Wirral
TEENAGER Adam Lewis has admitted killing his girlfriend Hannah Windsor, whose body was found at Merseyside beauty spot Bidston Hill in Wirral.
Lewis, 18, appeared via videolink at Liverpool Crown Court and denied murdering Hannah, who was stabbed and strangled.
But he pleaded guilty to an alternative charge of manslaughter.
Lewis, who is currently on remand at HMP Altcourse, also denied two counts of raping the Birkenhead college student, 17, whose body was found hidden in undergrowth on Bidston Hill in May.
He pleaded guilty to a burglary, carried out a few days before the other alleged crimes.
He admitted that he broke into the home of Richard Jones, in Orchard Road, Moreton, and stole jewellery, a wallet, an Xbox 360 and a Wii games console.
Lewis, of Fairmead Road, Moreton, also pleaded guilty to a charge of committing arson, being reckless as to whether life was endangered at Mr Jones’s home, which is believed to be the address of his sister.
Lewis’s trial, which will begin at the crown court on November 19, is expected to last two weeks.
He is thought to have been living rough in the Bidston area in the time leading up to the killing, which is alleged to have happened between May 15 and May 20.
Friends of Hannah, who was a student at Wirral Metropolitan College, have said that she was in a relationship with Lewis but that she had ‘kept it quiet’.
