THE deadline for the ECHO’s Wish campaign has been extended for an extra day.
This means community groups across Merseyside will have a chance to win a share of the £25,000 on offer.
Due to a technical hitch groups were unable to register on Saturday. So now, groups can also register between 11am and 9pm today – so hurry and get online.
Our Wish campaign will allow community groups to win a share of the money, divided by the number of tokens collected.
The more tokens each group has the bigger the slice of cash they’ll receive.
If you’re a not-for-profit organisation benefiting the Merseyside community you should be eligible.
You can be anything from the local branch of a national charity to a school, sports team or conservation group. Just as long as you’re working for the community on Merseyside.
To be in with a chance of sharing the cash simply go online to www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/wish to fill in an application form between 11am-9pm today.
We can only accept the first 200 entries so act now.
Once you’ve been accepted on to our Wish list you will be sent a starter pack giving you all the materials you need to get your supporters into action.
Then it’s simply a case of waiting until Monday, October 1, when we will start printing tokens in the ECHO every day for eight weeks.
Collect as many as you can and ask your family, friends, teachers and neighbours for their help in collecting.
We’ll also feature your group in the ECHO to help readers decide which organisation they want to support.
All groups accepted on to our Wish list are guaranteed a share of the money.
Remember the bigger your share of tokens the bigger your share of cash. Every token counts.
To give you an idea of the many Merseyside organisations which can benefit, among those which have already applied are Woodlands Hospice on Longmoor Lane in Fazakerley, Wallasey-based Stick ‘n’ Step, West Derby-based HPL Gymnastics, Wallasey Sea Cadets, Ykids – which works with youngsters aged five to 18 in Bootle and Kensington and the Moonbeam Parent and Carers Support Group in Huyton.
Make sure you never miss a token. Order now and receive your paper by home delivery each day by calling 0845 3040639.
