FAMILIES were left devastated after flash flooding hit Merseyside for the second time in three days.
Torrential downpours caused flooding on roads in parts of Wirral, including Greasby, Barnston and West Kirby.
Those affected included two families living in The Croft, Greasby, which backs onto Rigby Drive.
Mum-of-one Ali Marsh told the ECHO: “We have just had a deluge flowing through the back garden and into the front.
“It was like this in July, 2007, when we actually had to move out of our house for six months because the water got into the ground floor of the house and just destroyed everything.
“We have done everything possible to prevent it happening again, including building walls and putting in new drains.”
Ali’s neighbour, Gillian Locke, has also experienced the same problems.
She said: “This is ridiculous. The whole family has been out brushing the water away from the house. Fortunately it has not got in the house this time, but we have blisters on our hands from all the brushing.
