A MILLIONAIRE from Wirral was found dead in his luxury home in Thailand.
Former real estate businessman David Farrell’s body was discovered by police.
The death is being investigated amid unconfirmed reports that 72-year-old Mr Farrell, who was originally from Wallasey was naked and lying in a pool of blood with bruises on his body.
Police estimate that he may have been dead for up to two days before being found.
According to reports in the Pattaya Daily News, the officer investigating his death, Police Lt Naret Boonthee, said it was still unclear whether Mr Farrell was murdered or had suffered an accidental death after falling on to the floor and hitting his head.
It is understood the police are awaiting the results of a post mortem examination to find out the exact cause of death while continuing to investigate the circumstances.
Reports claimed there were broken wine bottles and other items scattered around the third floor of Mr Farrell’s house.
However, nothing of value was missing from the property.
Mr Farrell lived in the Baan Bang Saray market area of Pattaya in a three- storey house with a swimming pool.
