A MAN was arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found in a flat.
The victim, 29, was found by paramedics at a ground-floor flat in Kingsway, Wallasey, at around 3.50pm on Sunday. Neighbours said she worked locally as a nurse.
Merseyside police could not confirm her name as they were still trying to speak to family members but she was named locally as Jenny Abbey.
A 44-year-old man from Wallasey is being questioned by detectives on suspicion of her murder.
It is not clear how the victim died with post mortem results expected in the next couple of days.
The arrested man is in police custody.
The house – which is divided into two flats – remained cordoned off.
Jim Wright, who lives in the flat above the one where the body was found, described the victim as “the ideal neighbour.”
He added: “It’s come as a real shock because she always kept herself to herself and was very quiet.
“She’d lived here for about 12 months and we never had any bother.
