COMMUNITY group Hoylake Village Life is holding its fourth film night at The Parade Hoylake Community Centre on Friday (January 27).
This month's film is Fargo, a thriller by Joel and Ethan Coen.
The last film, It’s a Wonderful Life, shown before Christmas, attracted a sell-out audience.
HVL member Richard Stowe said: “Our film nights have gathered momentum, and to have achieved a full house with only our third film is remarkable."
Hoylake’s only cinema, The Classic, closed in the 1990s.
HVL is also looking to bring Saturday matinees for children at The Parade. Plans are being put in place to offer parents the chance to leave
their children with CRB-checked childminders to watch a film, and then collect them later.
Tickets for Fargo cost £5 and are available from gift shop Urbane, The Parade, Hoylake Community Centre, on the door, and online at www.hoylakevillage.org.uk.
Doors open at 6.30 pm; the film starts at 7.30pm. There is a licensed bar and a quiz after the film, with prizes for the winner and runner-
up.
