AN OXTON man was assaulted in his own home by two attackers who forced their way into the property.
The victim, who is in his 30s, was hit several times in the face at the house on Laburnum Road, at around midnight on Friday, November 25.
Nothing was stolen during the incident but the man was left with cuts and bruises and was very shaken.
The two men were seen leaving the house in the direction of Bessborough Road.
They are described as in their mid 20s and spoke with a local accent.
One was of a large build, around 5ft tall with facial stubble. He was wearing a black hooded top pulled up, dark trousers and thick Insulate gloves.
The second man was taller and of a slimmer build with a gaunt, oily complexion.
DI Mark Watson said: “This was an incredibly upsetting incident for the victim.
“Incidents of this nature are completely unacceptable and we are appealing to the community to help us find these men.
“We urge anyone with any information about the incident to call us so we can take action against the offenders and bring them to justice.”
