THE Mayor of Wirral is hosting a special charity appeal ladies lunch in support of local good causes.
The event will take place at the Portrait House restaurant in Hoylake on Friday, January 20, at 12 noon.
It will raise funds for Wirral Women & Children’s Aid, Age UK Devonshire House and Wirral Hospice St John’s.
Tickets are £20 and include a two-course meal, coffee and entertainment.
Only 80 places are available for the lunch.
The guest speaker will be Wirral actress and comedienne Pauline Daniels.
This year Pauline, who is also artistic director of the Actors Studio in Liverpool, published her autobiography Stand Up and Be Counted, which chronicles her career in showbusiness.
The Mayor, Rock Ferry councillor Moira McLaughlin, said: “It’s great to be getting this kind of support from a top quality local restaurant like the Portrait House in Hoylake.
“This fundraising ladies lunch is in aid of the Mayor’s Charity Fund and I’m delighted that once again Pauline Daniels is helping us with our fundraising.
“She is so entertaining. I know we will all have a fantastic afternoon.”
