Body recovered from River Mersey near Wallasey
THE body of a man was found in the River Mersey this morning.
Merseyside Police received a report of a body in the water, near to the ramp on the beach by Caithness Drive, Wallasey, just before 10.30am.
Police patrols and the underwater search team unit recovered the body of an adult man from the water.
The man has not been formally identified. His death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem will be carried out this afternoon.
