Fairytale Forest to open at Thurstaston’s Church Farm

A MAGICAL walk through a fairytale forest will soon be on offer at Church Farm.

The Thurstaston farm is transforming its pine forest so it resembles scenes from your favourite fairytales, and is populated with characters from some of the best known storybooks.

Over three Sundays this Summer, Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, the three little pigs and the big bad wolf will all be making the pine forest their home, and they can’t wait until everyone comes down to say hello.

The scheme is being run by Church Farm Events’ Matthew Ledsham and Catherine Peers.

Matthew said: “We’re very excited to introduce Fairytale Forest.

“The show is a mixture of live action, puppetry, song and dance.

“We’ve kept in all the favourite bits from the stories, but tried to give it a bit of a modern twist, to appeal to boys, girls and adults too.

“Customers also get a fun tractor ride, as well as access to the farm animals and play area.”

Fairytale Forest opens on Sunday, July 31, and continues on August 14 and August 21.

Pre-booked tickets are available for £6 or £5.50 online, or can be purchased on the day – subject to availability – for £7.

Matthew added: “Our other events are very popular so we’re hoping our customers will give Fairytale Forest a go.”
