Wirral brothers raise funds after tragedy

TWO Wirral brothers have raised almost £1,000 through a sponsored run for a bereaved family.
Ian and Nathan Dunne, 18 and 16, from Prenton, carried out their run on March 20 to help the parents of 12-year-old John McCormick.
John recently died in tragic circumstances and to ease the financial burden of funeral costs the brothers, from the Beechwood estate, decided to help Donna and Simon McCormick by running from Seacombe to West Kirby.
Ian, an apprentice at Cammell Lairds, was helped in his efforts to raise the money by workers on the yard.
The McCormicks are now hoping to buy a headstone for John. To donate, call 07949334137.
