Wirral Council announces temporary road closures in Saughall Massie, Greasby and Birkenhead

WIRRAL Council has announced the temporary closure of roads in Saughall Massie, Greasby and Birkenhead for resurfacing work.

The closures and dates are:

GREASBY

Arrowe Road/Arrowe Brook Lane/Arrowe Brook Road Junction will be closed from 12noon to 4pm on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20.

Closure points will be installed at the junctions of Arrowe Park Road/Arrowe Brook Road, Greasby Road/Arrowe Road and Arrowe Brook Lane/Irby Mill Roundabout.

SAUGHALL MASSIE

West Kirby Road will be closed from 8am to 12noon on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20 from its junction with Saughall Massie Road to its junction with Saughall Road.

In order to maintain bus services within the Saughall Massie Village area the existing no entry between Applegarth and Saughall Massie Road will be revoked to maintain two-way traffic flow.

BIRKENHEAD

Oxton Road in Birkenhead will be closed from Monday, March 21 for five evenings (from 7pm to midnight). It will be shut from its junction with Whetstone Lane to its junction with Balls Road East. There will be restricted access at the junction of Ball's Road, Balls Road East and Oxton Road during parts of the week but this will not operate concurrently.

Traffic will be diverted via Whetstone Lane, Borough Road, Balls Road East and vice versa.
