Hoylake Cottage marks milestone with centenary ball

Hoylake Cottage is celebrating 100 years of caring for people on Wirral by holding a centenary ball on Saturday March 12.

The event will be held at Hilton Doubletree Hotel in Chester and guests can expect to enjoy a champagne reception, three-course meal and live music from the band Citizen.

An auction of donated gifts will also take place.

Hoylake Cottage’s social committee chair Montse Benitez said that Hoylake Cottage wanted to mark an "amazing milestone".

She said: ""Thanks to the support of the local community, Hoylake Cottage has developed into a centre providing a high quality service to older people and their families.

"There is still much to be done which is why we continue to fundraise and I hope our centenary ball will be a fabulous event for everyone who attends – and will raise much needed funds to improve our services.

The Hoylake Cottage Day Care Appeal, which is supported by the Wirral News, aims to raise £1.5m to build a new day care centre for older people being cared for in their own homes.

Tickets cost £75 and can be bought by calling Hoylake Cottage fundraising office on 0151 632 7302.
