BUDDING arts enthusiasts are to get a helping hand as Tranmere Rovers has received funding to support them on the Arts Award scheme.
The club’s scheme, Tranmere Rovers in the Community, will now be able to help the lucky youngsters to develop their interest in arts, media and cultural affairs and achieve the nationally recognised qualification.
Chief Executive of the Club, Mick Horton is happy that they will be able to support young people in the community.
He said: "As a club we believe that the positive power of sport can improve the quality of life for all and this is yet another example of the work we do in the community."
Along with the funding, the participants will be supported by an adviser from the Arts Award, and will be able to use the club’s brand Recreation Centre and Learning Centre.
Mr. Horton said: "Employers, universities and colleges know that Arts Award is a qualification that shows a student’s level of commitment and progress in the arts, and developing new skills".
Anyone interested in taking part in the scheme should contact the Tranmere Rovers Recreation Centre on 0151 609 3333.
