Bin collections resume in Wirral as road conditions improve
BIN wagons were back out on Wirral’s streets yesterday as the thaw saw road conditions improve.
Residents are advised to put their bins out on their normal collection day or leave them out if they have missed a collection this week.
Crews will return to the scheduled collection days and aim to use extra resources to make sure they catch up on this week’s missed collections by the end of the week.
In the meantime, 10 temporary bin drop off sites have opened around the peninsula.
The sites will be available for people to use until at least today, from 9am to 2.30pm, with wagons taking waste from both grey and green bins.
The sites can be found at:
Quarrybank Road car park, Birkenhead
Coronation Park, Greasby
Woodchurch Leisure Centre
Seaview Road, Liscard (car park opposite Fairview Avenue)
