Wallasey milkman re-arrested after two more people make claims in historical sex abuse case

A MILKMAN who faces multiple charges of rape and indecent assault against young boys was re-arrested.

David Sparks, from Wallasey, was detained by detectives after two more people came forward as alleged victims.

The 61-year-old was quizzed again about the accusations even though he is already going through court for 59 separate offences.

The two men made contact with police in recent weeks after reading about Sparks’ alleged catalogue of abuse.

Formal statements were taken from the complainants about abuse claimed to have happened up to 30 years ago in Wirral.

Sparks already faces charges of attacking eight victims, at least seven of them allegedly assaulted under the age of 16.

They relate as far back as 1965 and are said to have continued sporadically until 1998.

Most of the alleged catalogue of abuse happened at Sparks’ home on Keswick Road in Wallasey.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: “We have arrested a 61-year-old man on suspicion of sexual offences.

“He has been bailed.”
