Coastal Walk tips from NHS Wirral

PRE-WALK:

Do stretching exercises

Drink plenty of water 24 hours before the walk to prevent dehydration

Slap on the sun cream if the weather is warm

DURING THE WALK:

Pace yourself – set off at a gentle pace

If you feel uncomfortable slow down – you can always pick up speed again later!

Take water to drink

Take an energy bar with you or a banana
