Birkenhead Sixth Form College host own General Election Debate

STUDENTS from Birkenhead Sixth Form College hosted their own Election Debate this week with the local representatives of each of the main parties.
Labour candidate Frank Field, Conservative Andrew Gilbert and Roy Wood, representing Stuart Kelly for the Liberal Democrats, met with a group of 100 students to answer their questions.
It was the only public meeting to be held in the area before tomorrow’s vote.
Commenting on the meeting, teacher Alan Beddow said, “As a result of a very informed debate those college students eligible to vote are now in a better position to know who they should vote for.”
