Irby restaurant creates unique pop-up restaurant on beach for walker Nathaniel Severs

IRBY restaurant Cromwells took to the beach last week for a unique pop-up restaurant.

The special dinner on Thurstaston shore was in honour of 24-year-old Nathaniel Severs, who is on an epic quest to walk around the coast of the UK for charity.

He arrived in Wirral on Wednesday after crossing the border from Wales into England.

Kate Allinson, owner/manager of Cromwells, said: “He couldn’t come to us because we’re too far inland, so we took the restaurant to him.

“He got the full works. We took one of our plush leather chairs, a dining table, crockery and cutlery to the beach where we cooked and served him the meal of his choice.”

Nathaniel set out from Portsmouth on January 10 and says he hopes to finish “by Christmas”.
