THE Rotary Club of Mid Wirral is holding a family cycle day on Sunday, April 18.
The event begins at 10 am at Wirral Country Park Visitors Centre in Thurstaston .The family cycle day will cover a 15 mile route and will be mainly off road cycling.
The route will take approximately two hours and will pass through West Kirby, Hoylake, Greasby and Arrowe Park before returning back to Thurstaston. All members of the family are encouraged to attend, with under-16s being accompanied by an adult.
Martin Greaney, spokesperson for the Mid Wirral Rotary Club said: "Rotary is involved with the local community and this event encourages family participation," he said. "It promotes health, exercise and fun while raising money for charity, to help others. It fulfils the aims of Rotary, completely."
This is the first family cycle day that the Mid Wirral Rotary Club has organised and if successful, it hopes to run it annually.
To take part in the family cycle day the cost is £2 for adults and £1 for children, which can be paid for on the day. The money raised will be going to charities supported by the Rotary Club of Mid Wirral, which include local and international charities. Numbers are limited so it is advised to book a place beforehand.
