A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was found sitting outside his Liverpool home bleeding heavily.
A MAN was left fighting for his life in hospital after being found sitting outside his Liverpool home bleeding heavily.
A taxi driver spotted George Hodgson in Westdale Road, Wavertree, at around 3.30am yesterday.
The former postman, in his mid 60s, was rushed to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
He underwent a brain scan and his condition was described as serious.
Police said that it was difficult to explain as yet how Mr Hodgson had ended up with the injuries.
A large area was cordoned off yesterday afternoon by police on busy Rathbone Road, Northdale Road and Westdale Road after blood was discovered at various locations.
Forensic officers were also at the scene.
Police are considering possible theories including Mr Hodgson being attacked, having a fall or being hit by a vehicle.
