Wirral Met College opens new “learning shop” in Birkenhead town centre

The service will help retail employers to develop business training solutions that will support their current workforce, support skills development for the recruitment of new staff and identify funding to assist business training.
The open day was a real crowd-puller thanks to the college’s performing arts students, who dazzled shoppers with hip-hop routines and singers Leanne Sweeney and Raphael Dawkins.
Students fronting the college’s Choose to Be campaign for young people, entered the shop with life-size photographs of themselves depicting their chosen career.
Staff and tutors were also available throughout the day to offer guidance and advice on the learning opportunities available at the college.
