Birkenhead Park rangers announce half term programme of activities

BIRKENHEAD Park rangers are holding a series of activities for youngsters during next week’s half term holiday.

The week includes ways to help birds during the winter months, a poetry workshop and making a dragon to celebrate Chinese New Year.

The programme is: MONDAY: 10.30am: Feed the Birds - make bird food and bird feeders to help our wild birds through the winter.

Booking advisable. Suitable for accompanied children aged 5 and over.

1.30pm: Poetry workshop – with the theme “The World in Birkenhead Park”. Suitable for accompanied children aged 5 and over. Booking advisable.

TUESDAY: 10:30am: Feed the Birds – as Monday

1.30pm: Bird boxes - make a bird box with the rangers. Suitable for accompanied children aged 8 and over. Booking is essential as numbers are limited. There is a charge of £4.50 towards costs (and Thursday)
