Birkenhead singer/songwriter Dean Johnson teams up with skill-sharing project for love song workshops

STRUGGLING to put your feelings into words in time for Valentine’s Day?

Oxton singer/songwriter Dean Johnson knows how to write a love song – and he wants to show you how to do it.

Dean will be sharing his skills at a series of free Valentine’s events taking place across Wirral next week.

Organised by the Cascade skills sharing project, they will also feature activities such as how to cook a romantic meal, designing and making Valentine’s cards, ceramic gifts and floral bouquets and belly dancing.

Dean recently hit the headlines after he was asked to complete an unfinished song, Silence is its Own Reply, written by late former Beatle George Harrison.

He said: “Over the years I have worked with many different musicians.

“These workshops will be a brilliant opportunity for me to work with people who have that raw desire to express themselves through song.

“There is so much talent out there. People have fallen into the trap of covering other people’s work but these workshops will help release the hidden songwriter that’s eager to get out.
