Wirral Arts: Chester University student Rosa Citrano at Staacks, West Kirby

STAACKS Arts and Crafts in West Kirby is hosting an exhibition from University of Chester fine art student, Rosa Citrano.

Specialising in printed work, Rosa hopes to use the show to generate funds that will resource her degree show later in the year.

Rosa said: “It’s really exciting for me to have this opportunity to stage my own exhibition.

“It has been a little hectic trying to get everything wrapped and packed in time, but it is all done now.

“A lot of work has gone into what will be on display at the exhibition, and so I really hope people enjoy looking at it, and hopefully purchasing some of it.”

Staacks proprietor, Kara King says Rosa’s work is “dramatic” and several pieces have been sold since the exhibition opened on January 4.

Kara told Wirral Arts: “It’s very pleasing on the eye and the other good thing is that it’s easily transferable into a home. They look good in the gallery space but I can see them being moved into a house very comfortably.

“We try to do that with all the artwork we sell, it’s work that will move into a home easily.”

Rosa, originally from London but now living in Chester, has produced the exhibition utilising various techniques picked up on her course, including etchings and different print processes.
