MORETON band Insanity Beach have teamed up with pub the Coach and Horses to hand new local talent a chance to shine.
Bands will not have to pay to perform and Ben Tavaoli, owner of the pub on Hoylake Road, Moreton said: “It is hard for new bands who play their own music to find a place where they can perform and earn recognition.
“In venues such as 'Barfly' they have to pay to play.
“We want to encourage them and help give these exciting new talents a stage.”
As well as having a karaoke night on Wednesdays and a new quiz night starting this Thursday, the pub has a whole host of bands who are regularly booked to play at the venue.
Ben said; “Insanity play on the last Friday of every month and are really popular.
“On top of this we have The Essence, the Gypsies, Vertigo and Tequila who all play live.”
Plans to play host to two festivals on the May and August bank holidays are also in the pipeline, in order to raise money for the Wirral Blind Charity.
“We do this every year, we get all the bands together and have a great time, I just hope the weather is good this year.
“It’s also a great cause and one of our most popular events.”
