Sister Mary blog electrifies Wirral political scene

She says she has lived in Wirral for 30 years, and it’s not just her blog that makes her unconventional.

Asked about her favourite hymn, Sister Mary replied: “I’m more into pop music actually.

“I’m a big fan of Lady Gaga and Lily Allen.”

She says she pays “special attention to Wallasey” but likes “to keep a close eye on political activity across Wirral” and was philosophical about the recent freeze.

Sister Mary said: “Changes in weather conditions are an act of God, so I’m not prepared to complain.”

And it’s an outlook she maintains when discussing her home town, adding; “I love the people of Wallasey.

“It’s a fantastic place to live.”

Wirral’s Conservative party declined to comment.
