Garden Time visits Serpentine Road Family Church

BBC Radio 4’s Garden Time has visited Serpentine Road Family Church to record two shows this week.

Eric Robson, Bunny Guinness, Bob Flowerdew and Matthew Biggs will visit Wallasey Gardening Society as it celebrates its 20th anniversary ‘Take Time to Grow’ initiative.

The BBC is particularly interested that the church has recently developed an environmentally sustainable community garden in their grounds which is enjoyed by the many organizations meeting at the Church and also by people in the local area.

The Rev Alison Gidney, Minister of the Church, said: “We are very pleased to be working alongside the Gardening Society in this venture and hope that the broadcast will attract many more people to enjoy our Community Garden.”

The two programmes will be broadcast on December 11 and January 8.
