ORGANISERS say the second Neston Christmas Festival will be bigger and better than last year's event.
The programme for this year’s festival includes a lantern procession through Neston town centre on Wednesday, December 2 followed by a brass band carol concert in the Parish Church organised by Neston Rotary Club.
Ness Garden is holding its IlluminNESS event and Christmas market, running every night from December 5 to 13, and there will be a late night shopping event in the town centre on Friday, December 4.
The Christmas Festival is supported by Neston Town Council, Project Rural Matters and a partnership between ch64inc and Ness Gardens.
Councillor Moira Andrews, chairman of Neston Town Council, said: "The Town Council is delighted to offer support in the form of a grant to the Neston Christmas Festival, which is one of the town’s most popular events."
Anyone who makes a purchase in participating stores in Neston on December 4 between 5.30 and 8pm will be entered into a prize draw.
Shoppers will also be entertained during the evening by performances by Neston Children’s Choir and Neston Youth Choir at the Cross and outside the Parish Church and Santa’s Grotto at The Neston Centre in the High Street.
Carrie Spacey of organisers ch64inc said: Yet again we are seeing a great partnership between all sorts of organisations and businesses in the CH64 postcode area, to give everyone who lives and works here the opportunity to enjoy some fantastic events and really get into the Christmas spirit."
