OLDERSHAW School in Wallasey will be holding a memorial service in the school library today (Wednesday).
The Oldershaw School Memorial records the names of 73 old boys who gave their lives serving their country.
All the names on the oak panels are of pupils who died in the Second World War while S P McLaughlin, the last name on the memorial, sadly gave his life during the Falklands Conflict in 1982.
Originally in the old library this War Memorial was moved to its present position after the library was re-sited within the school in 2000.
Any former pupils or relatives are welcome to attend the service.
For more information call the school on 638 2800.
